Running Aida64 I ran into an interesting problem, I'm not sure whether it's a software issue, but it could be food for thought.
Note that I only have 4 sticks in the system at the moment.

What exactly is the problem?
How much VTT did you need when you had 3 modules installed?
It is possible to run tripple channel with 4 modules: 3 modules from one set in slots 1, 3, and 5, and one from the other set in slot 1. You may try thist too, though I don't expect it to be better than 4 in dual channel mode.
If this doesn't work, try 2 modules in slots 1 & 2. This must work with your original settings for 3 modules.

My bad, it just looked like a problem to me due to the different CPU timings + varying RAM timings.

I think he was referring to the image. Crash still with 4 DIMMs dual-channel mode.
And correction for tripple channel with 4 DIMMs at post #33, modules in slots 1, 2, 3, 5.
