Gigabyte x58a-ud3r rev.2 stopped booting gets stuck after power up.

Hi guyz,
Opened a new thread...:)
Lately, my system stopped powering up. The system just powers down and when I try to power it up again it powers down after 1-2 seconds. Sometimes it stays on but nothing boots up(not even the bios) and the fans work like crazy.
I followed your advice and cleared the CMOS and reset the m/b by pulling out the batt for 30min, also tried with 1 dimm but this didn't help much.
For some reason, I suspected that the PSU is behind all this so I played with the cables a bit (just swiched the connections between the PSU outlets) and disconnected the DVD... And suddenly the system booted into windows, so i upgraded the bios to FF and some of the m/b drivers but then.... Blue screen of Death!!!
So now I either get a BSoD or the system just shuts down on me reandomly or when i connect my iPhone to charge it.

Have to say that the system work flawlessly for 6 months and then just went babanaz!

Any ideas?

My spec:
I7 950 no overclocking
X58a ud3r rev.2
6gb ram corsair dominator 1600 ddr3
Sapphire hd5770
PSU Seasonic X series 750w

Did you load optimized defaults after bios flash? What is qpi/vtt and dram voltage set to?

Hi,

I did load the optimized setting but now instead of BSoD the system just shuts down after 2-3 min after windows finished booting.
for the no XMP profile (set to disabled) the voltages are:
The QPI/VTT Voltage is 1.175V
The DRAM Voltage is 1.5V
With profile 1 for XMP the volatages are:
1.2v for QPI
1.65v for DDR

Could you explain why the voltages matter?
BTW, windows now states that the marvel 91xx ATA device drivers are missing... Does this have anything todo with the shutdowns? Where can I find updated drivers and what does the HDD controller have to do with all of this?!

You don't need marvel drivers unless your using sata3,Intel port 0 is fine for os hdd,1.2v won't be enough for qpi/vtt,set it to 1.31v and set dram according to your ram either 1.5 or 1.66v,it will just crash or reboot if qpi/voltage is too low as it controlles the memory

If the memory freq is set to 1600 MHz should the voltage be 1.6v?

Set it to what its rated at,it will be printed on the ram or box,doesn't matter what speed just set dram voltage to spec
