  • GA-P67A-UD7 and Memory Timing

I just purchased the above board and in the process of setting it up. I am using this memory, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH. I am using 2 kits for a total of 16GB. It is listed as 7-8-7-24 but it showis in my BIOS as 9-9-9-24. I am using the latest BIOS and not really interested in overclocking, at this point. Should I be concerned about this and how should I remedy the situation?

    Thanks,
    John

Enable XMP Profile1 in the BIOS. Everything else on Auto.

As mentioned above, you will need to enable XMP or set the timings yourself manually, along with the memory voltage.

You probably will not be able to run 16GB at 7-8-7-24 timings, but you can try and see how it goes.
