  • EX58-UD3R Power cycle

First of all sorry for my english, im from Chile and i havent used it in quite a while.

Well for the last 4 days my computers starts to power cycle everytime i turn it on. It doesnt do it when i restart it, only when it starts from cold. It started after several unespected shutdowns. To archieve boot i reset the Cmos and turn it on and off over and over till (randomly i think) it boots. Iv noticed that the times it power cycles all but the cpu fan start normally.

    My specs:
    EX58-UD3R 1.7
    Intel 930
    BFG NVIDIA GTX 275
    Corsair 6GB 1333
    WD10 EARS 1tb SATA
    Atheros AR5007G wireless lan

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: My PSU is a TopPower Silent Blue 750w and i updated to the lastest BIOS

      Re: EX58-UD3R Power cycle

Keep in mind force shutting it on/off several times in a row or clearing the CMOS is going to cause that every time because the board will think the overclock or settings failed, so it will shut down to load fail safe settings.

Sounds like you need to set your settings manually since auto is not working.

Can you please link us to your memory or give the model #

try with dram voltage set to spec either 1.5v or 1.66v,then set qpi/vtt voltage to 1.35000v see if that helps(you can lower qpi/vtt voltage later if its stable)

              Re: EX58-UD3R Power cycle

is the ram 1.5v? check on box or on the side of the ram,if its 1.5v then leave it as it is,if its 1.65 then set to 1.66v in bios

dont run it at 1.66v if its designed to run at 1.5v though
