Re: X58A-UD7 and 6GB Transcend axeRam D3 2000+ problems (BSOD)

I'm not at pc atm,but all I do is set a manual qpi voltage of 1.32v set dram voltage according to your ram,set CPU voltage to offset and set offset to 0.0750v,you could start with 0.0500v and take it from there,I use a 21x200 bclk everything else is left on auto

Asus voltage offset won't take off voltage from your load CPU voltage like gigabyte's dvid, you can only add voltage to your load voltage on asus

Use whatever or max CPU multiplier you can,it shouldn't affect stability and clocking through voltage offset allows CPU to clock down in speed/voltage at idle or according to loading ect, post back on how you get on

Re: X58A-UD7 and 6GB Transcend axeRam D3 2000+ problems (BSOD)

Well, after lots of tries and errors, we stabilized a setup with the following:

          200x20 (4.0GHz),
          DDR3 @1603MHz (7-8-7-20, 1.65V) factory defaults (3X2GB Kingston HyperX KHX1600C7D3K3/6GX),
          CPU V1.275
          Every other settings at AUTO.

Even with manual settings on QPI/DRAM (VTT) we had freezes, BSODs and so on...

The latest stable setup for ~5 consequtive minutes was with 200x21 (4.2GHz) and CPU @1.3V (all other at AUTO, even QPI/DRAM)

Offset values are a bit akward, they don't behave the way we expected, no logic on the values, don't get the math there! :) We managed to get it working with idle @1.15 and max 1.312, but with some crashes on the application (3dsmax) and finally a crash on the explorer (recovered by itself) while rendering. Is this a common behaviour with bad Voltage settings?

You might see freezes with too much or not enough qpi voltage,I would manually set that and dram voltage, you can enable CPU and pci-e spread spectrum,I think mine uses 1.26v but shows 1.23v under load due to vdroop I don't use loadline calibration but it depends on each CPU

What qpi voltage does auto use?

Oh and I use 8.8.8.24 timings even at 1600mhz,that would help you use slightly less qpi voltage

Can you explain in a few words what CPU and PCI-E spread spectrum does? It seems that 1.35QPI Voltage wasn't enough. Can't figure out what is the auto voltage on it, how can I see it?

And what about Load Line Calibration? Some people say use it, some don't. Any pros and cons?

A zillion thanx for your extra help till now, really!

It's up to you whether you use llc, personally I don't bother,pci-e and CPU spread spectrum I'm not 100% sure, auto should be fine if not sure, some say disabled helps with oc but I find no difference if on/off/auto

The asus software should show you current voltages asus probe I think, if you set CPU voltage from auto to offset then look in hardware monitor in the BIOS it should show you the default CPU voltage, then you can add the extra voltage needed to be stable at 100% load in voltage offset try 0.03750v set qpi to 1.3250v dram to 1.64 or 1.54v,and timings to 8.8.8.24@1600mhz

Try that, test with 10 runs of linx or Intel burn test on high,if passes then you can say its stable,if not add one/two clicks more voltage offset and retest, maybe one/two clicks more qpi,but test with offset first
