are you using those timings at the moment? 9-9-9-24-1T??? you could try 9-9-9-22 or 20,maybe 8-9-8-24-1T i dont think youll notice any improvement though other than in benchmark figures

Re: need some help with timings on amd

Can you post SPD window capture and/or part number?
Yoir settings are for DDR-1380, basically multiply spec timungs by (1380 / 1600) for the timings you may use, with spec voltage.

You should be good with 8-8-8-21, 1.65v.

Can you post sub timings pic also?
If tRC(Row Cycle Time) does not scale automatically with changes(to tRP + tRAS) you may try to set it manually for somewhat better performance.
Making any changes without any gain of performance, even if in benchmarks only, is worthless and risky IMO.
Use , or any other memory benchmark of your choice to compare memory performance changes.

well if it is only for the purpose of that then i do not see the need to meddle with it.. thanks though you have been a great help

Re: need some help with timings on amd

I wasn't saying that. Be sure that your system will opperate at it's best possible performance when fine tuned.
Maybe in normal use, surfing etc. or even gaming will not show any (subjective) improvement, some application may benefit from it.
It is up to you of course, I myself like to know I get the most of what I have paid for

yes there you have a point, thus is why i asked for help to get the most of it.. if it is beneficial i am willing to experiment, but i have nothing to go on so i am asking for your help once more

also the timings i have set are working so far..

Re: need some help with timings on amd

Try Row Cycle Time 30 see if it makes any change, anf the system is stable.

I was aware this is a DDR-1600 memory but currently it is running at 1380. If you manage to set it to 1600 which I have no clue how is done with AMD boards you can go back to 9-9-9-24 and Row Cycle Time auto.

Could you post a screen capture of MaxxMEM? Just to satusfy my curiousity of AMD memory performance.

Re: need some help with timings on amd

i cannot set it to 1600 anymore, if i do set it to the next higher setting it goes up to 1660 due to the fact that i changed my ref clock to 208 instead of the 200 it had before so everything gets a small boost from that

nope it is still at 1384.. but i can change it to 1660 and run a memtest and post a pic.. atm is 8 8 8 21 1t 1.65v.. the 1t seemed to give it a small boost

before i do.. timings i will change back to 9 9 9 24 2t like it was? and what voltage
