I have spent more than a month trying to recover from a problem that gives me a BSOD 7b. I have tried 2 clean installs and when I install drivers from the Gigabyte CD that comes with the board, the system just keeps rebooting until windows decides to put me in the repair window.
I have been using UBCD4Win. I just tried to load it to see if I could run chkdisk on my drives (I have used 3 different drives, and windows repair has checked them all) and it went through all of its' loading processes, entered Win XP and then it got a 7B. Anyone have any idea what that points to. I am beginning to think hardware failure within a controller in the chipset.
Does anyone know of a thorough diagnostic (preferably standalone) for the motherboard hardware. That would be an immense help.
