I never really noticed i had the whine till it went away !! But i am sure it has to do with the HDD
I have a main SATA drive and an older 19 GB IDE drive, i now set windows to switch off the drives after 20 mins and the whine is gone, however when the IDE fires up again not only can i hear it's natural whine but the ud3r MB whine is there
The MB whine comes and goes, sometimes on boot it is not there and if the IDE powers down all is fine but as soon as the IDE spins up with usage the MB whine returns
The HDD whine is a contunual high pitches whine the MB whine is more a nagging fast fluctuation whine ( married men will understand)
