Good Morning All.. For some strange reason i am having a very hard time understanding what the maximum heat limit is for the Intel Q6700 CPU. I am feeling kinda slow in the head at the moment. I run several different kinds of monitoring software Everest Ultimate Edition, HWMonitor, PC Wizard 2008, CPU-ID, EasyTune 6 from Gigabyte, Core Temp, RealTemp, Etc. And i get slightly different temp readings from most of those.
Will one of you kind folks please tell me what the maximum temperature that this CPU can run at before it fries and dies? At the moment i have the Q6700 Over Clocked to 3100mhz and the CPU is 32c at idle. And the highest i have seen the CPU get is 61c under very heavy load, encoding movies Etc. I am just very curious what the TJMax or the max temp is for the Q6700. I went to the Intel site but i couldn't understand the chart. Some people talk about TJMax being 90c and others say TJmax doesn't even matter or it matters but that isn't what you go by, I am lost and have no idea. It seems like i remember reading something about 90c but i don't know for sure if that is the max. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day,
Jason
