Last night I booted the machine. It starts loading windows and goes to a BSOD. It was hot in the room so I let it cool. no result. Tried restoring to last good boot. Message that it could not do that.

    Stop codes:0x.....7B 0xFFFFF880009A9928 0xF.....C0000034 0x0 0x0

I went into BIOS and set all the speeds and voltages to safe default. Anyone know what the message says?

i dont know what that code means, cant you boot into windows at all or even get into the bios??? you need to clear the cmos by removing mb battery for 30mins,then try,if its just rebooting at windows logo then insert the os disk and do a start up repair, that should fix things if not repeat it a few times untill it fixes it

Thanks. I am a bit concerned about resetting cmos and booting. My boot drive is a RAID 0 array. I could restore the drive settings in the BIOS after reset, but what will happen if Win loads its' own drivers?

                  Re: Bsod ga-p55a-ud7

I am beginning to get the nasty feeling that I have shot myself in the foot. There is a service called BC* where * is something and is called Browser configuration *. It consumes resources, has no apparent use, and is reported on the web as being "a bad thing". I removed it and now can not boot. I have since seen reports of just this sort of thing happening. Yeah, why after and not before - the computer gods are not happy with me. Anyway, this software is provided only by people such as board manufacturers. Not available to civilians. Gigabyte seems to be one of those vendors. Is there an expert out there that can explain what this is; if likely to cause my problem, and is there a recovery short of using a torch on the existing machine and starting over.

See my guide here for flashing/loading optimized/clearing CMOS with RAID arrays

You will be fine as long as after you clear the CMOS you are sure to go back into the BIOS and set RAID and then reboot back to the BIOS and move your array to the top of the hard drive boot priority - before loading windows again.

                        Re: Bsod ga-p55a-ud7

I really don't believe that the BIOS is the key to the problem. I rather believe it happened at the OS level.

I have built a disk that will boot standalone and provides tools to look at things. As far as the BIOS is concerned, everything is fine. When I use the tools in the standalone CD, I can see and copy the contents of the missing hard drive array. At some point in poking around I believe I saw something say the disk was not bootable. I could make a backup of the disk, but when I tried to reload that image I rather suspect I would be back where I am now - unbootable.

                          I replied to you here

Since you can see and access things in a boot cd in the array it is fine, you just need to setup the BIOS correctly then so windows can load properly.

Set RAID, and reboot to the BIOS and then go into advanced BIOS section and at the top enter Hard Disk Boot Priority and move your array to the top
