GA-X58A-UD3R very slow boot (need urgent help)

Hi everyone. I just finished off building my system today. Unfortunately I noticed that the boot up time is very slow. It approximately takes about 1 min before I can login to Windows. I checked the site to see if there some bios changes or updates since I'm using F5 but unfortunately I'm already using the latest bios.

I just purchased this board and reviews on it was very good but it didn't say it would take this long to boot up. My previous LGA 775 and AMD(athlon XP, old) build boots up way faster than this. I'm not yet throwing the white towel on this board but if there would be no solution then I might get a new one ...


I've searched the forum regarding this problem and the best thread I've found so far was this: http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/ga-x...-screen-39133/ . I followed every steps and tweaks in there but there was no improvement. I created a new thread since the problem on that thread wasn't solve and it already has a long list of replies.

GA-X58A-UD3R
i7-930
OCZ 6GB 1600 mhz
Corsair HX 620
GTX 480 SC

best to disable any un-needed drives in the bios,floppy drives and drive A,set hdd delay from 10secs to 0 ect,plug your os hdd into blue intel port 0,dvd sata drive into port 5,gigabyte boards take longer to boot up than other brands,thats just the way they are from pressing power switch to getting into windows with 1 minute time sounds about right.theres more up to date beta bios's for that board what revision is it???

Yes I already did those things. I am using the rev.1 since it's the only available rev. here at our place.

Regarding the beta bios, what are the new changes or improvements?

i dont know what the improvements are,but i can tell you that there safe and reliable to use,they usually have ram improvements might help with start up times,sleep resume ect
