  • GA-X58A-UD3R "loading library (ycc.dll) failure"

Hi, I've just started my new system (i7 930, GA-X58A-UD3R FA, OCZ reaper 6mb 1600MHZ CL6, sapphire 5970 4gb, intel 160gb ssd, Win 7 64) and everything was going well until I tried to install the UD3R utilities from the CD. A number of the utilities would not start and appeared to not be installed either completely or correctly.

I tried to uninstall them, download them one at a time and reinstall (GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0)) . When I restart I get a "loading library (ycc.dll) failure" error message. From the utilities package I now only have have @bios, Smart6, energy saver 2 and ET6 listed. Smart 6 seems to work most of the time, ET6 does nothing, "can't get bios.ini file in selected server" and energy saver 2 gives me the "loading library (ycc.dll) failure".

If there is anyone who ca help guide me through a repair process I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

boot into safe mode and try un-installing them, its best after os installation just to install the lan driver off the cd,then you can connect to the net and download latest drivers from gigabytes website

Will do. I just want to make sure that I'm correct in downloading rev 2.0? and that I can uninstall all of the components I listed without causing a problem with the current system bios. Thanks for your help.

it should tell you in the manual or printed on the mb what revision it is,yes you can un-install all those drivers without it affecting bios, have you tried to do a system restore? to a date/time before you installed those programs off the cd??

ok, that did not work I was apparently able to uninstall everything except easytune 6 (says error 1719 windows installerservice could not be accessed) and smart 6 whihc does nothing when I try and uninstall it. Other programs are uninstalling just fine.

This is brand new system and my first gigabyte mb. I'll check to see when the system restore point was set.

if you cant un-install easytune 6 go in program files/gigabyte/eastune 6 and delete the folder, then try installing easytune 6 again, same for smart 6

So all these apps are now working for you properly too?

If not be sure you are using the latest BIOS, and DO NOT FLASH WITH @BIOS :)
