I have a GA-P55A-UD7. Do the direct outputs from the motherboard have enough power to drive speakers or must you use an external amplifier?

I am talking about just "speakers". Wire and cones. How much power is available at the connectors of the MB. Are the outputs protected so actually attaching a low impedance load will not damage them. Or is it a low level designed ONLY for an external amplifier of any sort.Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe

i dont know to be fair,but the speakers are powered from the wall socket,mine are anyway its just the audio signal is transmitted through the rear audio plugs their not powered through there atleast i dont think they areGigabyte z77x UP4-TH F11c Modded Bios
