GTX 470 missing Physx Drivers and will NOT install

Hey all, a friend of mine is having a problem with his GTX 470 ... Til last night everything was working great, after making no changes whatsoever Physx seems to have quit on him. Sled demo, Fluidmark, Shattered horizon, etc., will not run.

He has tried back and forth between drivers 197.41, 197.75, as well as 256 and 257. Been using driversweeper after reinstalling, and also not using driversweeper between installs. I do know one directory which i have "AGEIA technologies" , is missing from his.

Apparently , this just came out of nowhere ... No idea how this could happen.

Any idea's ? Anybody seen this / encountered this before? All help is appreciated

Had em do a system restore, fixed the problem. Anybody know the cause of this for future ref?

Can he test the card on another machine, maybe something in the card broke?
