    Boot Issue w/New Build

    I just built a new rig for a customer (specs listed below) and when I started it up for the first time it came back with fast, continuous beeps, which the manual attributes to a power problem.

    The connections have been checked and rechecked and I cannot see any reason why it should not POST. The memory LED's come on, the CPU, video card and case fans ll spin up. Everything looks good. Any suggestions?

    GA-P55A-UD3
    Intel i5 750
    2x2GB G.Skill Ripjaw 1600
    2x640GB WD Caviar Black
    LG GH22NS50 Super Multi DVD Writer
    Corsair TX850
    NZXT Tempest EVO

    ***EDIT: I think I may have figured it out but I'll have to wait until I get home. I'm pretty sure I have the memory seated in the wrong slots and remember reading about 2 DIMM's needing to be in specific ones or the board won't POST.

      for two ram modules in dual channel they have to be in the two WHITE slots otherwise you will have problems

        Yep. It's the white slots (1 and 3) for two sticks. God forbid I read the manual PLUS you would think I would know this because it is the same for my own H55-USB3 board.

        That's what I get for building rigs on 3 hours sleep.
