  • Noctua NH-D14 CPU HSF, GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R, and COOLER MASTER HAF 932 fit

Does anyone know if it will be possible to fit the following CPU HSF, into the following case and be able to close the side. The problem is that the case has a 230mm case fan on that side. IDK how wide that side fan is and if the HSF is too tall... I'd be... *))(*&%e! So I guess if somebody has an identical setup I would know the answer. And that would simply be awesome!

    The cooler fits the board:
Noctua.at - sound-optimised premium components "Designed in Austria"!

The side mounted fan might be a problem for the cooler though. Any case that has a 120mm fan in the back and no side mounted fans will fit the cooler though.

      Thanks for the reply Nickel020!

But I wasn't worried about the HSF being compatible with an LGA1366 MOBO. Like you said the side fan is the problem.

Hopefully somebody with aNoctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler (HSF) and COOLER MASTER HAF 932 (Case) will notice this thread and tell me they work together just fine.

Re: Noctua NH-D14 CPU HSF, GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R, and COOLER MASTER HAF 932 fit

You will have better luck asking that question in a case-centric forum instead of a motherboard centric forum. There's people here asking questions and a dozen guys answering those questions, and I think none of those guys has that combination. Try overclock.net's forums.

Second that suggestion. Noctua measurements say 160 mm on top of CPU. But what tells how much there is between CPU and side fan in the HAF 932?

            I found the answer Here.

All the pictures on that page are all the proof one needs.

I don't think the side fan and the HSF are lined up to touch even if the HSF was taller.

SWEET! It truly is the best HSF at cooling by air. Combined with the HAF 932 case, you couldn't ask for a better combination for cooling.
