Bitlocker plus TPM chip in ga-x58a-ud7 - performance hit?

Hi guys,

Toying with enabling Bitlocker together with the Trusted Platform Module on the ga-x58a-ud7.

Before I do so, has anyone already done this, or is there a reason to not do this, such as a decrease in performance?

i cantsee it affecting anything,the encryption bitlocker you mean? all it does is encrypt your data

Yes, it does not affect performance, however there is no TPM in X58A-UD7

Ya I have seen a few too, but this chip is not included with the final UD7, they were just overlooking this or writing from old specs or with pre-production boards.

Boards that have a P in the model name are the ones that generally have TPM chips.
