I'm actually wondering if any of the version 2's are shipping or are out and about. For me that would be the GA-X58A-UD5 rev 2.0. I've been informed by the place I bought my motherboard from that I could "swap" the board free of charge "IF" they had the rev 2 boards in stock! Catch.... I have to do it before my 30 day grace period ends; which is now at 22 days. Hmmm.......

Ahh, you probably are not going to make that.

Maybe you could switch out now for the same model, then have a new 30 days and could do it again when they have 2.0 stock?

Yeah, I thought about playing that "game" but as you said, it's not that big a deal. Plus I doubt they'll let me do that anyway. I'll just keep a lookout till my end date arrives and go from there. I'm not going to stress over it though :)

Ya, I kinda thought they might not, but ya never know? Could always say something is not working right like LAN or Audio, ect, but not sure if that would push your 30 date further back again or not?

LOL - Trust me, If I wanted it bad enough i'd find a way :)

I had a similiar issue awhile back and would up getting not one, but two upgrades :)

Sorry for getting back to you so late. To answer your question....

I had bought a cell phone, which was than updated shortly after purchase. I called the company and "complained" so they say they'll send me the updated model. Well I get a follow up call from them telling me their supervisor saw my complaint and has shipped my replacement over night. Well.... apparently no one checked to see that one was already sent, so I wind up with two updated phones :)

That's too bad :) I'm still trying to work some angles but no luck. Seems these boards hadn't been released yet. I did have a vendor in New Jersey tell me "we had a few a couple of months ago but we're out now" Hmmmm..... somehow my BS radar went flying off the charts :)

I did call Gigabyte's customer service and a sales rep said he didn't know when they would be released; but if you go on their website you can get all the drivers and BIOS updates for rev 2 (at least the GA-X58A-UD5) right now so...

Hahaha, ya - we sold out already.... but I have one for you for $400, you want it?

They'll be out, some places may already have them, who knows. You know they want to sell the old stock first anyway
