Does GA-P55-UD5 require a JMicron ROM update?

    Does GA-P55-UD5 require a JMicron ROM update?

    I am unsure if this the JMicron RAID ROM v.1.07.00 is required for the onboard controller or is this just for an add-in card?

    are you running you hard drives on the JMicron in a raid O are raid 1 if not then no you dont need it
    if you are running drives on that controler in a raid format then really it optional
    if your familer with raid. and your are running fine now just leave it alone

      If you are not using the J.Micron ports for RAID then you do not need to install the drivers.

      As for the actual J.Micron ROM, you would be unable to update this yourself anyway as it is a part of the BIOS, so you would need to hack and create your own BIOS and risk killing your board.
