  • X58A-UD3R will not boot with a USB Hub

After a day of trying to find why My board would not boot past the splash screen. I found out that it will not boot with a none powered Usb hub plugged in. I can fill all the usb ports and it will boot to windows but as soon as I plug a device into the hub it go to the splash screen and reboot. I tried mutil differnt hubs and in differnt coputers all work fine. So opinions are needed if its the boad or would it be the power supply?

    X58A-UD3R Bios F5 I think?

Re: X58A-UD3R will not boot with a USB Hub

You do of course have USB 1.0 and 2.0 enabled already correct? Just checking.

Some hubs/devices are just not compatible, nothing you can do really except send in a report and see if they can make you a beta BIOS to add compatibility.

Before we decide if that is the case though you need to test another setting disabled and enabled.

Please go into the Integrated Peripherals BIOS page and locate Legacy USB Storage Detect (May also be called Legacy Storage/USB Storage). Try this disabled and see if it fixes the issue
