Hey all. I jsut aquired a pair of Asus 5830's for crossfire, since my 4850x2's went **** up on me. I installed the cards, and was tryin to "clean up" my layout, so, I took my X-Fi titanium out of the lowest pci-e slot, and put it in the x4 slot, and removed my dual Intel nic card, and had planned on using the onboard nic. This is were things got interesting. Upon reboot, cards were seen, and install of drivers went fine. All was well untill I decided to fire up BC2, the sound was for crap, so I checked the settings. My X-fi card is NOWHERE to be seen in device manager @ all, and all creative apps dont work. I tried to reinstall 4 times, all that is seen in device manger is microsoft high def device. I disabled the ati sound stuff, and tried to manualy install creative drivers for my card to no avail. Only way to get my x-fi to work again was to stick it in the lowest pci-e slot again, and it was like it had always been there... So, my question is, is it a bios issue, a ATI driver issue, or a windows issue??? I posted about this in the Catalyst forums also, and havent got any "known fix" replys....
It's really buggin me....
