For the past few week I have taken what I have learned here and been applying them as I overclocked my i7 930 hitting a top clock of 4.6Ghz on water 4.4Mhz on Air. My current setup 24/7 overclocked 1333Mhz Memory to 2000Mhz !!!!:

I need to move past 4.2 now! I just been leaving it there since I am always so busy, and this used to be the norm, but I have seen 4.5/4.6Ghz quickly becoming the norm now.

Hey Lsdmeaspa,

Yeah this is the Animal kit there are two kits out:
ocz3p1333lva6gk - they have an 1866 chip in them so with a little tweaking its very easy to get 2000+
ocz3p1333lv6gk – this is horrible memory fastest I can get at 9-9-9-24 1100 or so maybe. This set of memory which if anyone wants to buy I still have lol. But I’m going to be honest they are not over clocking friendly! I had my cpu running at 4.5/4.6Ghz however running at that speed requires a lot more QUI/VTT.

ive seen them go to 2232Mhz but with 1.5 qpi

I thought they might be the Animal's, I saw the post at XS about them using binned 1866-2000 leftovers in those kits.

1.5 QPI, what's wrong with that?

You see my Mushkin Review? I used way more then that sometimes depending on speeds/timings, and I have used 1.5+ for long periods without issues.

See my thoughts on QPI/Vtt here if you have not already, just my opinion is all though, so don't go killing anything

there is nothing wrong with 1.5 QPI as long keep other Dram .5. Besides people need to realize if you plan on staying up to date then an i7 930 or below will/is be outdated within next few months. Yes currently testing 4.6 trying to get memory to run +2200 I think it can just got to find correct timmings any idea LSD?

also remember that different CPU like different QPI so each very I seen some computers at 3.8 with 1.4 QPI when I can do that with only 1.2 QPI. So far with running at 4.2 at 2000Mhz = 4.4Ghz running 1600.

2200Mhz? I'd need to see your full settings, it may not be possible for 24/7 use though due to the high uncore needed.

Is your board hard modded?
