  • IBT temperatures

Any opinions on these temperatures that I got while running IBT at 3.91 GHz ? Running OCCT or Prime95 temps stay at 60 but these look kind of high. Would it be safe to run with these setting 24/7 ?

    Re: IBT temperatures

Yes, those are fine for 24/7 use, and actually are not that bad for IBT, so you have a little room left for sure.

Keep in mind, when thinking 24/7 usage you wont be running under full load hardly ever anyway, except when you stress test like that. So yes, those are fine for sure.

      Nice GFlops too.
Huge vdrop, doesn't seem to hurt though. What is vcore under IBT? Which board is it?

I have LLC enabled so there is hardly any vdop, what you see is effects of C1E while idling. On full load VCore is 1.18V. My board is GA-EP45-UD3. This seems to be the highest FSB that I can run with VCore set to Normal, up to 435 I don't even need LLC. These are temps while running OCCT.

Oh I see. First time i see C1E effect on an OCed machine, probably because the normal.
So it's probably just 0.028v vdrop if CoreTemp reports VID correctly for that time.
Temps are fine no need to worry about them, just keep in mind that in case ambiant temperature will increase so do they, maybe not 1:1 but close to it.

I ran the tests in quite a warm room so I shouldn't have too much problems even in summer. Vcore on OCCT looks like this, very small vdrop when cpu goes to full load.

              Re: IBT temperatures

Did you enable that after you were done overclocking, then re-tweak, or before you got started?

Are you also using DVID or not?

Ahh ok, thanks, just wondered how you went about it because it is not the norm for overclockers.

Thanks also for the DVID info, I wasn't sure if they added this for P45 yet or not.
