Re: Gigabyte X58a-3UDR help/advice please...
youll need to set your qpi voltage manually and ram voltage to 1.66 then test with memtest 4 try and tighten your timings you could try with 8-8-8-26-1T and test for errors try with qpi voltage at 1.320000 set cpu voltage to 1.20000 or try with normal setting,i can clock to 3.8ghz on 1.18750 cpu v.also your uncore freq will be twice what your ram multiplier is then add one or two too it so 8xram multi will be 17 or 18x uncore freqGigabyte ex58-ud5 f12 bios

Re: Gigabyte X58a-3UDR help/advice please...
There is definetly a tangible performance difference between DDR3 1333 and DDR3 2000.
But these differences can be minute or not there at all. use DDR3 2000 for benchmarking and showing off, generally low latencies matched with a reasonable speed e.g ddr3 1333 should get by quite easily.Asrock P55-Extreme

I agree, 2000Mhz is only for short uses. You should be able to run 1600-1800+ easy though if you want. Try that and if you need more help post back your full settings you are trying and we can help

Re: Gigabyte X58a-3UDR help/advice please...
you can set your ram @1800mhz exactly with 3.8ghz 180x21bclk clocks, maybe one click higher on mem multi? will give you 1950mhz or something? remember to set uncore freq to twice mem multi then add one or two to itLast edited by warren300; 04-05-2010, 09:43 PM.Gigabyte ex58-ud5 f12 bios
