MB challenged to dual boot on GA MA770

Hi guys,
I want to install win7 on 2nd HD with XP on 1st. Dual boot option if possible. XP is installed, when I go to install 7 it says it can not install on 2nd HD because of config not right, to go into bios to fix..... this is where I get lost. Could someone walk me through the process please? and do the step thing for me, not really comfortable in bios.

Hi cudaviper. Can you see both hard drives in Windows XP? If the answer is yes go online and search Windows Easy Transfer. Downlod it. or software that will perform a mirror transfer which is all the Windows XP files from one to the other so both have Windows XP. Then perform a Windows Clean install on the Drive of your choice, but be sure it is the initial Boot Drive. I found several ways to do this I even disconnected the second Windows XP drive. Then used the HD boot priority option in cmos to determine which drive I wanted. I believe you may also use the F12 option at first boot. Another way is with the boot loader Windows 7 provides but this way you need both HDD present at the time of initial Windows 7 install and use the advanced install feature.

im assuming you have xp allready installed on one hdd?? if so power down pc unplug the xp hdd,plug in the second hard drive you want to install win7 on,format it to ntfs and install win7 on there,when done powerdown pc again and and remove hdd and plug xp drive back in and plug win7 hdd in on second sata cable,power up pc press f12 and select which os you want to use
