hello everyone my name is rich and i am new at overclocking. i just oc my ex58 ud5 w/ i7 920 to 3.8ghz and its been running solid passing memtest, prime95, etc.. i was just wondering what the best method is in getting my ram to 1600mhz... my ram is good for 1800mhz.

ram link OCZ DDR3 PC3-14400 Platinum Series Low-Voltage Triple Channel OCZ Technology

    Baseclock (bclck): 190
    DRam speed: 1520
    qpi link spd 36x
    sys memory multiplier 8.0
    Turbo Mode (on/off): On
    Hyper-threading (on/off): on

    CPU Voltage: 1.33125
    CPU PLL Voltage: 1.80
    QPI/DRam Voltage: 1.3500
    DRam Voltage: 1.65

thank in advance for the help......

try with the overclock i use, follow guide in sig,if you turn turbo on and set bclk to 180x21(with turbo) you should hit 1800mhz with your ram

whats up bro and thanks for your quick reply... i tried your setting to the #.... i couldn't get my computer to boot with 1.3000 volts in the ucore vtt, boot up freezing and blue screen. i tried to boot in many diff voltages in the ucore with no luck, the only way it booted was with the ucore on auto..... then i got this error message with orthos... i didnt want to go to much past the 1.35 volts on the ucore/vtt......

do you have a d0 chip or a c0?? youll need more qpi v with a c0 also set your ram to 1.66 in bios not 1.64,did you set sytem performance enhance to standard aswell?...im 100% stable with those settings but every chip/motherboard/ram will be slightly different ..also what bios are you using?

          my #'s

i dont know if its a do or co! i got the oem and the only #'s i have are one the cpu and i am not taking the cooler plate off to find out...

          ram 1800
          cpu x 20
          qpi 36x 3600
          bclk 180
          ucore clock ratio x20
          sys multi 10.0
          v core 1.325 v
qpi auto, you 1.3000 in your specs wont boot in my config...
isnt 1.35v the max you can go in the qpi without harming your system.
          bios f9
