Hey all...been a while since I visited. Hope you're all doing well.
I have a GA-EP45-DS3L motherboard. I have an SSD with Win 7, plus 3 other HDDs installed. I have ACHI enabled. All was working well until a couple weeks ago when this annoying problem started.
Basically, the Hard Disk Boot Priority gets reset every time I shut down. The order seems to change randomly. I go into the BIOS and set my SSD as #1 on the priority list, save settings, and OS loads up no problem (nice and fast, I might add )
The next day, I start the PC and it won't boot because the priority is muddled and one of the storage HDDs is #1 now. So have to go back in and reset.
I thought it might be my CMOS battery, but my Overclock settings and everything else aren't affected. If it were the battery, you'd think everything would be reset.
My next step will probably be to crack open the case and check all the cables, maybe put the SSD on Sata 0? Not sure that'll do anything, but I'm hoping one of you has a suggestion.
Thanks in advance!
