E8400 + EP45-UD3P overclocking request...

Hi there,

first time poster, long time reader.

Looking to overclock my new EP45-UD3P and my old-ish (was on a EP45-DS3L before) E8400 hopefully upto 4GHz.

Specs are:
Intel E8400
EP45-UD3P
4x2GB (8GB total) Crucial Generic RAM (unknown what model etc because I got it free from a friend, can check if needed)
2x eVGA 9800GTX+ 512MB RAM
Mac OS X Snow Leopard (awww yeah)

Thanks in advance for the help! I would test it myself but honestly I don't wanna make anything asplode!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Begin reading this post, follow the suggestions for stock settings, and posting additinal info, screen captures are not possible of course with Mac OS X.

You should be able to find Prime95 that can run on this OS to stress test it, as for core temps monitoring I don't know.
