Re: Hold any key to freeze GA-790FXTA-UD5 during boot

What about video cameras, psu's, or USB hubs, or the mouse? Maybe a pci card. If it is hardware related somewhere you should find some common hardware. How will you find it? You may want to post fully all perephereals and hardware. See if you can find a match here. I would even post monitor and printer. Try to find a match.

Then the only common factor I've seen among the three cases of this is that we all use the same AMD chipset and the motherboards are all made by Gigabyte.

Like I said before, the model of video card installed does seem to influence the success rate of reproducing this issue. Since this problem has occurred with three different video card manufacturers I think the problem responsibility lies with Gigabyte.

To their credit Gigabyte support hasn't tried to dodge ownership of this problem. But unless they can reproduce this problem I doubt they'll be able to fix it.

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-UD2H and an AM 2+ 2600 processor. All the other parts have changed from time to time and had no effect on this problem so ive discounted the graphics and memory. I have this pc running as a multimedia box connected to a TV and with wireless keyboard and mouse. It's really annoying and would love to find out why this happens.
