I just built a system

i5-750
GA-p55a-ud4p
OCZ 2x2gb ddr3-1333
samsung 1tb
powercolor hd 5770 pcs+
antec 650w
lg dvd writer
window 7 64bit

computer freeze with one color on screen (all red, or all grey, etc) when i am playing 3d intensive games or just surfing the net.
So I tested with prime95 and memtest86+ v4.0...
With several test done, sometimes pass and sometimes fail.
I tried using one memory at a time...both sticks... passed and failed some.
I tried using timings of 9-9-9-20(CAS, tRCD, tRP, tRAS), command rate of 2t, and 1.65 volts (except my mobo can select 1.64 or 1.66) instead of auto setting. Still passed and failed some.
I updated bios to f7c....still passed and failed some.
so I exchanged the memory(same type)...still passed and failed some of test.

System tends to fail more often when I use the memory frequency of 1333.
so when I come online or do some work ...I use 1066 speed.

Nothing is overclocked...

any suggestion would be really helpful...thanks in advance.

have u tried enable XMP (profile 1)? also try to change "performance enhance" from turbo to standard. you also can try to adjust QPI

I already tried using standard....
and I dont have XMP choice in the bio...I can see it in manual but not in bio.

Hey, I have the same MB, CPU and RAM and I'm having the same problem. I run both Windows and Linux and it happens in both OSes after some time. I've been able to run the computer for a day or so without freeze or sometimes it happens after a few minutes. It always happens in Windows if I run something like 3dmark. I've also tried setting the RAM timing, frequency and voltage (no 1.65) and the same results... I ran memtest overnight and no fails for me but the problem is still there. Is it just that the OCZ 2GB DDR3-1333 is incompatible with this MB?

set your qpi to 1.25000,set system performance enhance to standard and see if its any better

I haven't tried setting QPI yet, but I set enhance to standard. I also switched my sticks from slots 1 and 3 to 1 and 2 (so they both use the same channel) and it has improved my stability a lot. I still have voltage, frequency, and timing set to 1.64v, 1333mhz, and 7-7-7-20. I have yet to freeze but I won't celebrate yet, not until I have some serious uptime. Thanks!

set qpi as auto will overvolt it,same with cpu and ram,3 main voltagess not to leave on auto
