Overclock my GA-EP44-DS3R

Hi people.

Im looking to over clock my pc to as high as possible (without blowing it up)

I have the GA-EP45C-DS3R (F5)

CPU is Intecl Core 2 DUO E8500 Using Liquid Cooling, Thermaltake Tai Chi Case.

I have DDR3 Corsair ram 2 X 2G settings on the side of them is 9-9-9-12

some step by step instructions would be nice for my system. Thanks in advance

Start by reading this post, follow the suggestions for stock settings, post the requested information, and peaople will be able to assist you. Any clarifications you need just ask.
Not sure about the board but the CPU should be able yo OC to 4GHz easy, 4.3-4.5GHz depending on cooling and luck.
What is ram rating for those timings (DDR-1333/1600/1800)?

The link you have posted is for EP43-UD3L mines a EP45C-DS3R
Ram is 1333mhz 1.60v ver 3.1 9-9-9-24
Looking to get around 4.1 +

Those settimgs are generic and common to all EP4x boards, note that ram voltage should be set according to it's specs.
The sticker supposed to have ram rate too, if not the MemSet screen captures may help to determine what it is.

Its not any of them. its CM3X2G1333C9S2
Dont know what info you want from the memory.

Load optimized defaults, make any changes you made like disk boot priority, save reboot and apply the following changes.
These are for mininal OC to 3.2GHz @ 400FSB.
After testing them to be stable you can invrease CPU ratio and apply more Vcore as needed and other tweaks that may be needed.

Vtt = CPU Termination

Run 6+ passes of memtest86+ before starting windows.
Run 8+ hours Prime95/Orthos blend torture, or OCCT CPU OCCT medium data set.
5-10 runs IBT(IntelBurnTest) at max stress level.
Watch core temps with CoreTemp/RealTemp (OCCT has them built in) for this processor at 3.2GHz they should never go above 60c for Prime95/Orthos/OCCT, IBT may get 10c+ hotter.

EDIT: just noticed it's a C0 steppimgs so not sure about core temps, may get a bit higher.
