Windows Vista error code 643 (KB973923)

Hey all, i have had this windows update pending for some time now ... Every time windows or i try to install it, it fails and gives me Code 643 . This is a Security update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 . Tired of searching around and not finding anything useful that i truly trust. Came across a few pages here n there regarding it , but i would expect to find something directly from Microsoft or at least a forum i have heard of before.

All other updates go just fine. This is on my Asus notebook running Vista 64, not the beast you see listed in my sig just so ya know... Thanks all in advance for the help !

did you update vista to service pack 2? i had to do that for vista 64 it might solve it for you

Hey wazza, thanks for the reply and happy new year ! I have had SP2 installed from day one of its release.
