  • EP45T-UD3P and e8400 constant blue screens

    I had my computer running well before using a past template I found here, but I accidentally reset to defaults and i can't find that old template anymore. I think I should have posted my info anyways to get settings more specific to my setup. At this point, I dont really care too much about OCing. I just want the computer running atm.

    CPU = e8400
    Motherboard = ep45t-UD3P Rev. 1.0

    Ram = Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PVS34G1600LLK timings : 7-7-7-20 1.9V

    Re: EP45T-UD3P and e8400 constant blue screens

    Please fill the template with your default values as well.
    A screen capture of MemSet main(click >>) and SPD(click spd) windows would be helpful, you can download it from http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/late...30/#post284762
    Try increasing MCH Core graduately up to 1.24v.
    Memory is running at much lower frequency than it's spec. Try 4.00B or 3.20B memory multipliers.
    For these multiplier you need to set DRAM Voltage as specified by the manufacturer.

      Re: EP45T-UD3P and e8400 constant blue screens

      Sorry about that here are default values as well.
      The default values are right in front of "auto"...

      I also made a few changes...
      CPU host---400Mhz
      memory multiplier---3.2B
      MCHCore----1.18
      DRAM voltage---1.9v

      I can't get it to run at all on 4.0B.. probably because I'm such a newb at OCing.... thanks for any help...

        Re: EP45T-UD3P and e8400 constant blue screens

        Timings in the template don't match MemSet screen, are they auto?

        You have PVS34G1333LLK as memory part number in your sig, but MemSet SPD shows "1600LL Series" and it has XMP 800 profile (DDR-1600).

        Set Static tRead Value 10-12 for both channels, lower it later when you manage to get things stable.
        You have 3.33D multiplier, you can try that, and more MCH Core up to 1.24/1.26v.

        You said you don't care about OCing, plans have changed? what CPU cooler do you have?

        Please list value or auto, which ever applies, nex time you post settings, and remove the "leave"s.
        Default values to the left of the colons, auto or manually set values to the right.
        Reference voltages and DRAM Termination should be left on auto unless you need to change them.
        Vcore, CPU PLL, CPU Termination need not to be left on auto when OCing, see this post.

          Re: EP45T-UD3P and e8400 constant blue screens

          Sorry about the hassle chike... thanks for being patient with me...
          hopefully the third time is the charm...
          I think I put down the wrong memory for my sig as the 1600LL is the memory that I have.
          I ended up finishing the video that I needed to edit on another computer, so yes plans have changed, I want to try to get this thing moderately OCed...
          I have a Zalman CNPS9500AT cpu fan... I have not had trouble with overheating on my old motherboard... even when overclocked...
          This is the same as the last setup, just cleaned up. The memset shot is the same as the last post.

            Almost, the settings above Advanced Clock Control, no worries, just remember for next time.
            MemSet screen, especially the SPD window only needed once.
            Set CPU Termination 1.2v manually, increase it if needed.
            Set PLL 1.5v or one tick higher.

            Have you ran any stress tests yet?
