  • GA-MA790X-UD4P and No Sound

Well sorta, I'm able to get sound out of the analog jacks, but nothing from the S/PDIF optical jack I've got connected to my home theater. When I watch the volume panel I can see that sound is being played but I hear nothing. I've used drivers from gigabyte's website and realtek's website as well, neither seem to fix the problem.

It also seems that the optical jack isn't even turned on as there's no visible red light. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try going back to the Windows 7 driver from the original installation. right click on the speaker icon in taskbar. Click Volume Control Options. Select the HDMI Digital audio S/PDIF check box. Apply and ok. Does that work for you now?
