  • EP45-UD3LR flashing to F8 worth it?

    Hey

I just bought a GIGABYTE EP45-UD3LR and I really like it :) The bios version on the board is F7, but I can see that there is a newer bios version, namely F8. Link: GA-EP45-UD3LR (rev. 1.0) - GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - at F8 it says: "Improve memory/ATI VGA card compatibility".

I have a Radeon 5850, so I'm wondering if I will get any performance boost by flashing bios to f8 (im not going to crossfire).
I don't like flashing bios unless it's necessary, so does anyone know what exactly thats better with the F8 compared to the F7 ? If there is anyhing.

You have sort of answered your own q.
In the "if it aint broke dont fix it" context.
New bios generally has a listing of what is improved/what bugs have been fixed.
If your setup is working ok and your overclocks are doing what u expect ....

Ive updated my bios on my board...the only difference ive noticed are more accurate temp readouts, but that may just be the monitoring software updates.
