    my parts are here for my new buil x58a-ud7 mounted the heatkilla back plate to the board.. so far. some photos of the build. and my set up now witch is a q9550 @4.0 ghz on the ep45-ud3p very good board water cooled.

          what diameter pipe are you using ? half inch? im thinking of a watercooled setup 30c at idle is good esp core temp mines 39c core temp on air @3.8ghz not 4.2ghz

            yes 1/2 tube heatkiller lt 3.0 cpu block. feser x changer dual 240 extrem rad d5 pump. with dt mod. runs cool..

              This is probably a really silly question but with each component individually costing as much as my previous builds I'm as jumpy as a cat on a hot tin roof:
              The UD7 appears to have no PCI-E power connectors. I know some GFX cards have their own, but with those that don't I take it the board simply handles the job via the main power connection and I can tie off the PCI-E connectors on my modular PSU? (Zalman 850).
              Also - power LED - usually given that almost no case manufacturer ever seems to give you the polarity colour code for their PWR LED's I intend to do the usual and connect it one way and if no joy reverse it. Case is a Zalman GS1000 and the PWR LED is green/white. Anyone forsee a problem with this approach? - Or better still knows which wire on the GS1000 is +ve?
