Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
I need help !!! I've can't find the correct settings for my BIOS.Every time I set the BIOS - it will reboot - it will start loading information - then reboots. Then it says I'm running 3.1GHz.I go back into BIOS and it has a message written in RED - says it shut down my computer becuse of overclocking voltages.I made it to main page a couple times - but ended up with a BSOD.I've run at 4.27 before but not sure if it was stable.Any help would be appreciated.

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
LSD, I just realized this isn't the same mobo and processor I did the 4.27GHz on.Back in Sept. I bricked that mobo flashing the BIOS.Yeah,I managed to do everything you say not what to do when flashing BIOS.But that was before I found this WEB SITE.Computer shop had me RMA processor but ended up being mobo.I don't believe the BATCH this processor come from is going to let me do 4.27GHz.The other mobo and processor did 4.27GHz on the first attempt.I tried your settings up and down - back and forth. No Luck.I sure do appreciate your help.

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
I finally got it to run 4.27.I'm sorry it took so long.I run prime95 for 2 hrs. just to see if it would crash. No errors. When I get home from work I'll run memtest. Then I'll send you a copy of my BIOS settings.I'm sure it will need adjustments.THANK YOU again for your help.

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
tRD may stay stable at that FSB since you are using B memory multi's but you may need to switch to D multis and 9 tRD if you get instabilty.
As for the rest, many of those memory timings can be lowered, let me know if you are unsure and need advice on that
PLL is fine, but you could maybe use a bit more. It is not always needed, but can help

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
I'm all in for stability. If you think D Multis is the way to go - Lets do it.As usual I will need help with a starting point. As far as backing down ram timings - I have no clue where to start.
I will change PLL to 1.57 if thats OK.Again THANKS for your help.

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
I have not had any issues running 2.40B @1080MHz.Matter of fact - Computer runs GREAT.My Rig has never run this good before - Do you think I'm ready to start backing down my RAM timings? If so - Could you kind of run the procedure by me?Man,I really do appreciate your help.

Re: TEMPLATE for 4.27GHz EP45-UD3p
Sounds great then! Ya lets lower your timings
tRD of 7 would be great, but I do not think you will have any luck at all with that so I will not advise you change this. Try the following changes, all at once if you like or one by one testing as you go
Standard Timing Control
CAS Latency Time...........................:5
tRCD ......................................:5
tRP'.......................................:5
tRAS.......................................:18 << try 12/15
Advanced Timing Control
tRRD.......................................:4 << 3 should be fine
tWTR.......................................:8 << 3-4 should be fine
tWR........................................:10 << Can be 4-6
tRFC.......................................:82 << try 58-60
tRTP.......................................:5 <<< 3-4
Command Rate (CMD) ........................:2 << With settings as they are now, if you set 1T here can you boot? If so, compare this with 2T in a few benchmarks and see if this is working for you or not, scores will be noticeably better with 1T if it is working. Be ready to clear the CMOS though if it is working, but your memory will not do 1T!!

Test #3 is what I picked to go with.I can stress it more if need be.
Here is what Everest benched.

System seems very stable. What else can I do or need to do???
Thanks again for your help.
