what do you want to clock to?? 3.2?? you need to set bclk to give you 3.2ghz leave everything on auto, set your rams rated speed and ram multiplier to give you 1600mhz set ram timings manually as 7-8-7-24 set ram voltage to rated voltage..youll get better results by disabling xmp and setting all ram manually,if you do update the bios read on how to flash using q-flash,DONT use @bios as if it goes wrong it will brick your mb and will need rma'ing, look on latest gigabyte bios on main page and download latest beta bios

Bios updated to F3 and I had set it up to

      CPU multiplier: 20
      BLCK: 160Mhz
      CPU Speed: 20x160Mhz=3.2Ghz
      Ram: 8-8-8-24, 1600 Mhz.
IF I activate XMP the memory are recognized at 1600Mhz and given timings (7-8-7-24)

Question. After bios update the memory voltage was lowered to 1.5V but the specifications says 1.6V so Ive increased it to 1.6V given the fact that there is some overclocking.
I dont think I want to go any higher given the fact that the PSU is not "performance" category. Do you think the PSU is still good enough to support the overclocking to 3.2 Ghz ?

XMP will not affect Turbo, but I do advise you do not use XMP and set things yourself.

You will need to find your own stable QPI/Vtt amount, this and PCH increase a little may be all you need.

I think the PSU should be good for 3.2, higher and you may want to look at better ones. Does this one even have the 8 pin EPS 12 CPU Plug or just 4 pin?

THe PSU does have 8 pin CPU but the motherboard has only 1 slot for 4. I was a little bit surprised because my previous motherboard GA-965p-DQ6 has an 8pin slot. I would have bought something better but this model was on sale for $100

Thanks for checking that. I see this board does have 8 pin EPS CPU connection >>

            GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview - GA-P55-UD3 (rev. 1.0)

You need to remove the black 4 pin cover on it likely, most that have 8 pin will have a cover over 4 of the pins.

As I said in my first post I have UD3L not R which has only a 4pin EPS PSU connection.
