ACPI _CSD Object Failures in Windows 7 (64-bit)

The results of a Power Efficiency Diagnostics report in Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) include several errors similar to the following:

There is a problem with the definition of the ACPI _CSD object on this computer. Installing the latest system firmware (BIOS) may resolve this issue.<o:p></o:p>

These errors appear after enabling the “C3/C6/C7 State Support” motherboard BIOS setting.

Does anyone else get these errors? (To generate a report, go to a command prompt and run “powercfg –energy”.)

The BIOS may not be posting correct Intel CPU C state dependency entries.

It very well could be a windows 7 error since the OS is so new, or something with Intel drivers? Also could just simply be due to the board being so new that the BIOS's are not fully developed yet.

They may not have had enough reports on this to be aware of it, or have not had time to correct it yet if it is a BIOS issue.

Please do send in a report on this to Gigabyte official channel and see what they have to say about this as they may be unaware >>

FYI:

Gigabyte supplied bios F5c to me, which fixed the issue.
