EX 58 UD5 Bios F4 Vista kills Dual Boot Bios

Hi Everybody,
this is my first post and I am a "newbee" here.
Anyway: I have a question reguarding a few machines that I administrate here in my company and the "bug" is:
EX58 UD5 Board, i940 CPU, 3GB of OCZ DDR3 PC3 1066 Ram, BIOS F4, Vista 32Bit SP1
What happends is that randomly on at least 10 different machines with exactly the same hardware I have the problem that randomly the machine freezes during startup of the Vista OS, you have to to a hard reset the machine. Whenever this happens, the Bios is killed and the machine does a autorecovery of the 2nd fail safe auto revocery bios.
I also encountered Gigabyte Tech Support but they never heard of this.
The machine is not overclockled, CPU is in Turbo mode, housing is fine so is the temperature of the machine...
Any clues here?
I never encountered the problem that the OS kills the bios during the boot, only during post I had problems with other machines when I did wrong BIOS settings...

f4 bios is an old bios,always update to the latest bios to solve boot loop issues or incompatability click on latest gigabyte bios on main page and read how to safely flash bios using q-flash

do you mean p55 motherboard or ex58?? makesure before you flash bios as you might flash the wrong one and will destroy motherboard

Hi,
due to safety reasons we steped back to Version F4.
We will not install a Beta Bios, these are machines that are not used hat home, so no trial and error possible.
We updated to F7 since this is the lase "stable" release and had the same issue.
Yes, it is a EX58 UD5

i always use beta bios's and have no issues whatsoever,beta contain all the latest fixes months before final releases but if your worried then dont update.i would say thats whats causing your problems as your not using the very latest bios

also try loading optimized defaults then save and exit,and try clearing cmos with rear switch or by shorting the two cmos pins next to the motherboard battery and try to install vista again

cant you test one machine with f9 bios just to see if it fixes the problems your having??you can always flash back to f4 bios...im running my pc 24 hours a day using f9 bios its 100% stable

I will try one machine with the latest bios (F9e?) if F7 does not fix the problem.
I will give this a try.
But nevertheless, I am not happy with a beta bios.
Is there any info when F9 will be released as a final?

i dont know when f9 will be released as a final,but i know f9e contains all what the previous bios's contain but includes all the latest fixes for ram/cp/ect
