  • help with EP45-UD3P

I ve been having problems alot of problems with my first build.
to begin, numerious BSODs, minidumps point to a Ram issue and driver issues,
But before i can even load up OS (vista-64), it takes at least 3 boots (turn on then turn off...wait-Repeat) to get to POST/BIOs screen. Its my first build, i never changed any of the BIO settings until I found this board and tried these settings
"PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) --------------- : [Auto] <--- set to 100

Did you load Optimized bios settings before making your bios changes.
The settings used in your first post came from this post.
Use the generic bios template for your mobo from here.
Follow the directions for accurately filling in your current bios settings and post your settings.

You have a very old bios, version F11 is the current version and can be downloaded from here.
Follow the bios flashing instructions in the BIOS Flashing - A "How To ~ Qflash Guide" thread.

How do you mean? When you enter BIOS again they are reverted to defaults?

        Re: help with EP45-UD3P

I loaded optomized settings and saved.
        I post all settings later
BIOS are old, but is it safe for me to q-flash in its condition?

after i tried those settings, It still wouldn't boot and had a nice little message for me saying, a recent clock or voltage change has resulted in a failed boot and has reverted back to defaults.

I just want my system stable, i dont plan on OC this build.

MCH Core that isn't set properly will prevent your system from booting with your settings.
You might need 1.22, 1.24, or possibly 1.05 (or a bit higher) volts for MCH Core voltage at stock settings.

                      Re: help with EP45-UD3P

Some G.Skill 1066 memory will only work with MCH Core = 1.05 or a bit higher.
Try all the available settings below 1.20 volts.
Are you sure that your memory is rated to run at 2.20 volts?
Please provide a direct link to your memory's specs, preferably from the G.Skill website.
