    Thanks profJim

    Chike i tried Ram 800@333 (333 x2.4) system freeze after 20min, retest freeze :(

Ram @ 667@333 (333x2B) and auto mem settings prime stable >10hrs.

At leat you tried and you know.

What CPU speed you running, and are Prime95 temps OK?

Re: EP45-DS3L Dual Ch. RAM Issue

        Hi Chike,

Exactly, at least I know. happy to try any (most) suggestions. Tried FSB of 333 with cpu at 7.5 (2.5Ghz) no o/c slightly under stock. Still tinkering with RAM speeds. Am I better to use single ch. @ 800 or dual ch. @ 667.

        I haven't tried to o/c yet.....bit short of time... need a 28 Hr day :)

What voltage would be best to start with, I believe my 7200 max is 1.36. Is 1.25v reasonable with my stock HSF aiming for 3 Ghz (9 x 333) or am i better to start at 1.3 and lower until reach stability issues?

Thanks again for all the help :)

Re: EP45-DS3L Dual Ch. RAM Issue

Try both DDR-667 dual-channel and DDR-800 single with the lowest Static tread possible for each, and run some memory benchmark to see what give better performance.
Might be that DDT-800 is not possible even in single-channel mode with 2 sticks?

At 3.16GHz my vcore is set 1.19375v in BIOS, you will probably need the same or 1-2 ticks less.
Try and see what core temps Prime95 small FFT give, I think the stock HSF will hold, if not than 3GHz.

            What memory benchmark is good?

Single Channel 2x2G @ is prime stable for 24hrs, would this be different for mem benchmark?

Non is LOL You won't find two that agree on the numbers.
But they are all good to show difference in performance, so pick your favorite.
I use because it is free and light wait.

                Thanks,

How long should I run the small FFT for?

If just to see max temperatures than 15 minutes will do.

                        That was Single @ 800 and Dual @ 667.

Single looks better.. might leave in single?

How do I add multi screen shots??

If 800 works better than I'd use it.
You can use an image sharing service instead of attaching the images, and post the links they provide next to or above each othjer.
                          I use tinypic.com myself.

EDIT: btw how are OC temps and what voltages you had to use?

have not tried the o/c yet, just the mem bench test. ran small fft for 30mins core#0 =57 and core#1= 55 (core temp)

thanks for the voltage info :)

Re: EP45-DS3L Dual Ch. RAM Issue

Do you think you may still need some help? Did you try both channels in dual, I mean one try 1+3 and another test 2+4?

Has anyone offered you advice on full settings? If so, or not, and you think I may be able to help please give me the full settings you are trying that fail for dual channel and I will see if I can help you get going.

Most users here know P45-UDx models and the normal P45-DSx are a little bit different, so you may have not been offered everything that could help
