  • HELP! S3 cannot wake from sleep

    GA-Ep45-ud3p
    G.SKill memory
    CPU E7400
    tried all bios versions.
    tried OC and stock.

my machine cannot wake from standby S3 or S1. I have tried many things and cannot get it to work.

    two common erros are below.

    Please help!

The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power
transition. Please check for updated firmware for your system.

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error
could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power
    unexpectedly.

    Please help.

What have you tried so far?

Please fill your forum sugnature with your system specs including a link to ram specs(manufacturer site prefered), board rev. BIOS vers. etc.

Post your current BIOS settings using the template in this post or the one below it, and we will try to advise.

A screen capture of MemSet main and spd(click spd) windows would also be helpful.
MemSet and other programs may be found in http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/late...30/#post284762

Re: HELP! S3 cannot wake from sleep

Is there a particular reason you are using 2.66C multiplier and not 2.66D?
In the template Static tRead Value is 8, but MemSet shows 6(Performance Level,) is it on auto? This indeed the lowest I've seen so far with 400FSB, but it may cause problems as well.
Also is there a specific reason for the reference voltages to be set manually?

Re: HELP! S3 cannot wake from sleep

Looking at it again i see MemSet screen capture was taken with 266 not 400 FSB.

something changed. i believe someone else was tweaking settings over night. standby problems have occurred through all oc's.
restoring my settings and resposting soon

So it is D strap now? auto timings you mean? Not voltages I hope.
Timings are fine, Static tRead maybe lowered, 8 or 7 may work.

d was on before. d was on during problems.
                            everything is posted as current

                              Settings look pretty much ok.
vcore is a bit high, but may be needed, have you tried lower settings and different CPU refs? Psycho101 has the same board and processor, he may be help you with it, but he can't resume from S3 either.
Maybe a bit more DRAM Voltage and MCH Core?
