Have you ran any stress/stability tests, and which if you have.
I see you lowered MCH Core, have you tried it one step lower?
A screen capture of MemSet main and spd(click spd) windows may be of a help too.

EDIT: is vcore set to default VID(the number to the left)?

Chikes right you should raise MCH core up to at least 1.100v and Vcore VID.

Just the opposite actually, since it's set to lower than default already I assumed it was for a reason, and I've already seen guys that had to lower it to 0.95v to get stable.

Oh my bad Chike, I mis-read what you posted and the fact he has 8 GB memory.

Some boards need less than stock MCH, others more, be sure to test both ways. With 4GB or more of ram, the norm is 1.20-1.24+ depending on all other settings.

Since you are lowering MCH core, you may need to also raise/lower Vtt as this is directly tied to MCH ref amount. With less MCH Core you may need less MCH Ref and or more/less Vtt.

Did you have issues using stock MCH amount manually set? Have you tested with MCH 1.20-1.24 at all? Is this 4 or 8GB of ram?

Re: GA-EP45-UD3R rev 1.1 Intermittent BSOD

Things are getting worse, now all of a sudden it won't boot up. And I have not changed anything in the BIOS for months.

I can get to the BIOS screen, it has a red warning screen: "The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or voltages.
Last setting in this page may not coincide with current H/W states"

              4gigs of ram 2ea @ 2 gig =4 gig.
              CPU Vcore 1.2000v.......1.2000v
Maybe you guys can look at my worksheet, something may have changed some how? I think I need to start over, I don't understand a lot of these settings.
              Fluke Digital Multi-meter says: 12.09 volts & 5.00 volts.

When the red message shows in MIT the applied settings may be different than those set in BIOS... just as stated.

Try to clear CMOS as explained in this post, load optimized defaults, save reboot and then reaplly your settings.

Ok, I'll clear the CMOS in few.
What should I put back in?

Re: GA-EP45-UD3R rev 1.1 Intermittent BSOD

May have found the problem, maybe??
This going to be a quick version, if ya want more info I'll try to give it.
I cleared the BIOS, put back in my settings.
Still had same boot problems, random beeps, random loads ok, random loads and everything is ok. This has been going on for months.
This enough to drive ya crazy, on the first go around in April, I ran the cpu tests, the mem test, and what ever else that you guys suggested. They all passed.
The bootup & run problem was totally random, no pattern, just lock up and die with bsod.
I pulled one ram stick out, rebooted, booted up ok, cool.
Replaced with that one in slot 1 with the one in slot 2, NO go, it beeped about 18-20 times.
Pulled ram 2 out of slot 1, put ram 1 back in everything is ok.

I have Never had a problem with ram in 20 + years, looks like I have one now.
And I never over clocked it, I just want a stable system that I do not have fool with.

Now what should I do, the ram is less than a year old?

Try run memtest86+ on the suspected memory module, with Performance Enhance standard, and XMP enabled, timings on auto, if you get errors than you deserve a replacement for sure, I think it has lifetime warrenty.

I'll run the test tomorrow, it's working, that's amazing.
I've been at this almost all day today, I'll take a break.

Thank you all for the help,

Yeap, sounds like one faulty module to me! RMA will require you send in both sticks, so be ready to have a spare on hand while you wait.

Glad to see you found the issue though!

                              I have Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 (2ea @ 1gig= 2gig) http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/TWIN2X2048-6400.pdf that I can put in while I RMA the 8500's.
Still working with only the one stick, no crashes yet.
Will these work, and what settings would I use?

                              Thanx Guys
