  • EP45-UD3R and E5200 R0

    Hi all, I want to overclock the CPU to 4.0GHz.

    I have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R and a Intel E5200 R0 and a pair of Corsair XMS2 6400C5DHX 2x1GB.

    Please post the values for the BIOS.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards.

    Re: EP45-UD3R and E5200 R0

    Welcome to the forum.
    There isn't a specific set of bios settings that will get your system stable at 4.0GHz. We need to know your specific hardware setup to advise you.
    You can use the forum search feature to find threads that deal with your cpu/mobo setup.
    If you want specific bios suggestions, we need the following:

    1) List your system components in your signature.
    --> User CP tab (upper left corner of web page)
    --> select Edit Signature
    --> enter your hardware components (brand, model, etc.)
    --> include your bios version
    --> preview
    --> Save when complete
    Be sure to include your bios version, motherboard version, power supply, cpu heatsink/fan setup and the model numbers of all components.

    2) Link to your ram's full specifications.

    3) Fill in the generic bios template with your bios settings.
    --> Fill in Auto where appropriate.
    --> Update "??" values with what is displayed in your bios.
    For EP4x motherboards, using either of these EP43/45 bios templates.

    4) Include a screenshot that displays:
    Memset using the SPD and ">>" tabs
    cpu-z CPU and Mainboard screens (several instances can be run at the same time)
    EasyTune6 --> TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab (only the Voltage tab is needed)

    Links for these programs are in the Latest Overclocking Programs, System Info, Benchmarking, & Stability Tools thread.

      Hi, already do several steps you told me. This is the SS for a 3.33GHz, but the system is unstable and I get some BSOD.

      Any help would be nice.

      Best regards.

        Re: EP45-UD3R and E5200 R0

        Pleas post a template with you settings too.
        You need to run tests to identify what the problem is, CPU, or RAM related problems.
        Prime95/ORTHOS/OCCT are commonly used.
        Small FFT failure will usually indicate that CPU settings need tuning, e.g. vcore or vtt. Large FFT failure may indicate need to tune memory settings.
        Memory settings seems a bit loose and can probably be set for better performance.

                Re: EP45-UD3R and E5200 R0

                We want to see what bios settings were causing random BSODs at your 3.33GHz settings. Your screen-shot shows some of the bios settings, but we need you to fill in the bios template, as some bios settings that are NOT in the MIT section might be causing your system's instability.

                Please be as specific as possible in describing your BSODs. Gaming? Stress testing? Completely random? How often? etc.

                Which o/s are you running?
                Which specific stability tests have you run? How long for each test?
