Hello I have the board ud3l and had some help from G-Skill my memory is F2-8000CL5-2GBPQ.
    They told me this:
    CPU Clock Ratio - 12.5
CPU Host Clock Control - Enabled
    CPU Host Frequency - 250

    Performance Enhance - Standard
    Extreme Memory Profile - Disabled
    System Memory Multiplier - 4.00

    DRAM Timing Selectable - Manual
    tCL - 5
    tRCD - 5
    tRP - 5
    tRAS - 15
    Command Rate - 2T

    CPU VCore - 1.30V
    DRAM Voltage - 2.10V

I am getting a blue screen , what am i doing wrong? Should I change the module to slots 2 and 4 instead of the 1 and 3 slots I have now?

    Driving Strength ...........................
stay on auto I have it on 1066?

        Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

Your CPU native FSB is 200MHz, if you use 250 with 12.5 multiplier you oberclock it to 3.1GHz.
DRR-1000 won't do you much good at 250MHz anyway, you may want to try and use 266FSB(CPU Host Frequency) with 9.5 multiplier and try to get the memory stable at DDR-800with tighter timings and then OC the CPU if you like.
First Load optimized defaults, save and reboot, enter MIT again, and set values as recommended by this post

        then apply the following changes
        Code:
        CPU Clock Ratio ---------------------- : [9]
        Fine CPU Clock Ratio ----------------- : [0.5]

CPU Host Clock Control --------------- : [Enabled]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) --------------: [266]

        Performance Enhance ------------------- : [Standard]
        Extreme Memory Profile --- (X.M.P.) --- : [Disabled]
        System Memory Multiplier -------------- : [2.40B]
If you can't boot try increasing MCH Core, one step at a time, up to 1.26v. If still can't boot try MCH Core in the range of 1.1-0.95v, decrease one step at a time and try.

Run several passes (6+) of memtest86+ before starting windows to make sure there are no memory errors.

Please post a screen caprure of MeSet main and spd(click spd) windows and EasyTune advanced voltage screen.

You can find memtest86+, MemSet and many other useful programs in http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/late...30/#post284762

          Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

Thks for reply but just a few questions why will 250 x 12.5 do me no good with 1000 for memory?
          My cpu is a e5200.
I'm just trying to understand the logic under your settings ?
          Thks

Under ddr-800 with default values I have overclocked this cpu to 3.4ghz stable under 272fsb with the c strap at 3.33 .Just wanted to add this .

            Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

I have found that up to 1:3 bus FSB speed would result in significantly better performance, above that hain is minimal, see this post.
But don't take my word for it, make your own benchmarks.
Which multiplier have you used the A or C?

Thks for reply I am using the c strap 3.33 with 359 fsb which gives me 3.4 ram at default.I'm going to test this , if it works would u recommend me keeping this and then working with ram and if so with what timings? Thks

                Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

Try the 4.00A multiplier it is closer to 266 than 200.
You'd get better memory performance with higher FSB, so that's up to you.
333FSB with 2.40B multiplier and 4-4-4-12 timings will give much better memory performance than 250FSB with 4 multiplier with CPU at 3.33 or 3.5GHz, or you can try 312FSB with 3.20B multiplier and CPU at 3.43GHz and ram as DDR-1000.
Just keep CPU close to stock speed while you tuning the ram then overclock when ram is stable.

                  Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

Thks very good ideas tried the higher fsb thing 320 and higher with a 9.5 or 10.5 multiplier all gave me a blue screen and some with no bootup at all. So now I am at (a) strap with 2.66 and 272 bus no problems very stable.
I'll try your ideas and get back seems that I see 2 things with this the mobo does not like anything higher than 320 for bus and also when I set my ram voltage at 2.1 -it's red in bios I always , always hace problems be it a blue screen or no bootup.
                  Thks for help

                    Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

The boared is capable doing well above 400FSB, it's probably the CPU that can't, but usually it's FSB wall is above 333.
For my best recallection A strap does not have 2.66 multiplier, only C and D has them.
The red color for 2.1v is just a warning you sould know what you are doing, if ram specs are 2.1v no worries.
This ram was tested with 2.0-2.1v so you may try 2.0v or a little more, usually they don't need their max voltage.
Could you post those screen capture I sked for in ost #4 and BIOS settings for your 272FSB?
For posting BIOS use the template in this post.

Thks for reply I trioed your suggestions with 312 fsb 3.20b strap ram 1000 either it gave me errors or a blue screen with other 2 strappings u mentioned . So now I have this Strap c 200 running ram at 1000 , 300fsb with a multiplier at 11.5. My ram voltage is at 2.10. So far so good but need to test more with OCCT .

                        Re: Ga-ep45-ud3l help

Note that the timings are not 5-5-5-15 but 5-7-7-19, I believe XMP is disabled, try to set it to profile1 or auto and see how it work. I can't see what tRFC is for the EPP profile, is it 64 or 84? In MemSet main window it's 64, if set too low it may be a problem.
Did you try the 312FSB with CPU Ratio less than 11?
Static tRead Value(tRD, Performance Level in MemSet) is currently 10, lower values result in better performance.
What are the steps options for CPU Termnation?

Thks for reply sorry for the bad image xmp is disabled -set xmp to auto u mean? The tRFC is at 64. I did try 312fsb with disasterous results - blue screen , errors , black screen.Less than 11 I did not try though.trd is at 10 what can I do to improve that?
I still have to test with OCCT and Prime95 further.CPU termination is at 1.20 and can change further no problem. Thks again

Yes, set XMP to profile1, this should set correct timings for DDR-1000 automaticaly.
Save images in PNG format and use image sharing service like TinyPic if they are too big to attach, they also provide a frum link. See this post on how to create a screen capture, Windows' Pain can be used if you don't have IrfanView.
For the EPP#1 profile in MemSet spd window tRFC is 64?
Lower tRD result in better memory performance, usually the value that lets you boot would run OK, you should be able to use 7 or less.
