Have you tried to increase MCH Core before, did it make things worse?

Re: My Crucial Ballistix is being naughty again...

        Your screen-shot looks good.
tRD = 8 for both memory channels, as per your bios setting.
Try MCH Core 1 click higher, probably 1.16 volts and rerun Memtest86+ for 8 - 10 passes.
If you'd like to run a quick stress test first, run Intel BurnTest (IBT) for 10 passes with:
        THREADS = 2
Use the highest amount of memory that IBT will allow.

Re: My Crucial Ballistix is being naughty again...

Back from a night of tests and gaming-

I gamed last night with settings of-
          MCH- 1.16v
          TRD- 8

I then ran memtest overnight- errors appeared.

          Today I bumped-
          MCH- 1.2v
          TRD- 10

(I did try increasing Vcore, and it does nothing but increase heat.)

I am assuming that TRD is what is giving my errors from being too tight, along with too low of MCH volts.

Here are my IBT results with stock Vcore, stock Termination, MCH of 1.2v, and TRD of 10.

I will test memtest again tonight after a session of gaming to see if errors show up again with these settings.

Re: My Crucial Ballistix is being naughty again...

I can't see a reason you'd have to use tRD 10 when I use 7 with similar ram.
Try to isolate ram from memory. With CPU Ratio of 8 the CPU will run at near stock speed and vcore should not be a problem, check the ram for stability and then raise CPU Ratio again.

Re: My Crucial Ballistix is being naughty again...

CPU/Ram checks out with multiplier of 8. I think I found the problem- it was the tRD of 8- its running at 10 now. I have gamed the past couple of nights and then ran memtest afterwards overnight, no errors. (Crosses fingers for the next couple of weeks)

                  Thanks guys

Yes, likely faulty memory module, you can then test it in another slot.

I have completed my testing. It appears that it is not the board, it is the RAM. I believe the errors are due to overheating- they are inconsistent, errors do not show up when a desktop fan is running on them during memtest, and I can almost burn my finger when I touch them. So, yeah.

It is very uncommon that memory actually overheats, but after reading this thread, I would agree with your assessment. If you're sure your OC is completely stable, try running LinX as it stresses your memory as well. Make sure to set the memory amount to all. Compare between fan and no fan.

If those are the 2.2V modules (Sorry I dont have time to go read back) then you can RMA them and ask to be sure they send you the new models that are 2.0V. They likely will anyway, but wont hurt to ask to be sure
