Ok I finally got my motherboard working and I'm already encountering another annoying issue. I have two DVD burners installed on this motherboard and it can detect both. The problem is, with both enabled when it reaches the "Boot from CD/DVD" screen, the screen just sits there and does nothing. In order to get pass the screen, I have to disable one DVD drive, and its really annoying because I rather have two drives enabled all the time. Any ideas on how to get pass the screen with both drives enabled?

Re: GA-P55-UD5 dual DVD drive bootup issues
Yeah, if I go to the BIOS and select the first boot device as hard drive, and select CDROM as the second one, it won't even read the DVD drives at all.
I hope a BIOS update in the future will fix this.Intel Core i7 3930K | 32GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws X 2133Mhz | Gigabyte GTX 670 SLI | Corsair AX1200 watt Power Supply | 20x LG SATA DVD+/- RW | LG BluRay/HD DVD Combo Drive| Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers | 42" Toshiba 42XL700a at 1920x1080 1080p | Asrock X79 Fatal1ty Champion | Coolermaster HAF X | 1x OCZ Vertex 3 240GB SSD | 1x 1TB Western Digital Hard Drive | 1x 2TB Western Digital Hard Drive | Windows 7 x64 Ultimate RTM

Re: GA-P55-UD5 dual DVD drive bootup issues
Please list the exact sata port "names" that each device is hooked up to.
Take a look at posts #33 to #35.
Different setup (i7/EX58-UD5) but it might work.
You might be able to work around your DVD problem by using different sata "modules".
Good luck.Q9650 @ 4.10GHz [9x456MHz]
