System won't boot from CD/DVD

I cannot seem to get my system to boot from CD/DVD drive. I'm trying to freshen up my system with Norton Ghost after a series of install/uninstall of some games, but I can't seem to get a boot off CD/DVD.

I see 2 "boot from CD" lines during bootup, but get nada.

I even went to the extreme of setting all my boot devices to CD, {laugh} and it told me to bugger off and just booted straight into Vista.

What am I missing about this whole dual bios thing?

Are you sure the CD is bootable or not defective?

what are you trying to do? copy your hard drive with norton ghost? have you tried unplugging the os hd and then select boot from cd?

I previously created a "fresh install" Ghost image on a separate partition. I'm simply trying to restore that image.

I shouldn't have to unplug anything to accomplish this.

Have windows installation disk you can try to boot with?

do you mean you have 2 os on same hd but in diff partitions? if so i dont think it will work as it conflicts sometimes
