    Re: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

This post has recommended bios settings for a system running at stock settings.
You must load Optimized bios settings from the main bios screen before you make any changes.
MCH Core and DRAM voltage must be set properly.

If you're still having issues, follow the recommendations in the post to include a detailed hardware list in your forum signature and to include the suggested screen-shot in your next post.

      Re: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

Yes try profjims suggestions first. Bios settings and updated Bios flash are a must. Alot of BSOD's are due to Windows hardware drivers. Please check drivers, for updated ones. Please check Windows updates. You may want to try another power supply. That model has not faired well, When I googled it I seen compatibility issues. Sometimes another clean install of Windows will fix this issue as well.

        Re: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

I have been trying to install vista and I would get BSOD everytime. I set my Bios to these settings according to the post. The computer is also getting this missing MGR error when I try to boot up the computer to run CDROM sometimes...

        His setup is..
NZXT Tempest with 3x Scythe Kaze fans and a TRUE120 Heatsink running the processor at 32c Idle and around 55 Max Load (When tested last time).
        Intel Q9550 Yorkfield
        OCZ ModxStream Pro 700Watt PSU
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R at stock the Gigabyte version on the cd says. 1.08 so I assume thats the version (I haven't updated the Bios Version or anything). Rev 1.1

          Re: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

Is PCI Express Frequency manually set to 100?
          Set Performance Enhance = Standard
Manually set CPU Termination and CPU PLL to the values displayed in the bios.
MCH Core might need 1.22 or 1.24 volts at stock settings.
DRAM Voltage = 2.00 or 2.02 might work better with stock settings.

What is the displayed memory speed on the initial boot/post screen?

            Re: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

I changed the settings similar to my own computer and it somehow worked, I wanted to try it since all our parts are the same except for the video cards and the mobo. Thanks for the help.
